He is a retired art teacher who presently owns the Red Bowtie Group.
Join us for a bite and a sip and the chance to see some truly exciting new art by Florence artist, Colleen Critcher. Colleen Critcher is a visual artist fascinated by commodity culture, kitsch, and plastic things. Her works obsessively explore images of garden gnomes and dinosaur figurines, as she investigates the powerful significance of seemingly menial objects in contemporary life. Critcher sometimes projects herself and others as characters in a bizarre narrative that explores consumerism. Each painting adds to the absurdity of a deeply complicated consumer culture. Critcher holds an M.F.A. in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design and lives in Florence, South Carolina.

In the tradition of the Mississippi Delta Bluesmen, THE Dubber confronts the world with only his words and a guitar. The self- taught singer/songwriter continues to reinvents himself by infusing musical styles for over 30 years. America's Rock, Jazz and Funk, flavored by the international sounds of Reggae, Armenian Music and Afro Beat, is the complex stew that helps him express his blues and completes such a distinctive sound.

Her interest in Folk Art was inspired in early childhood by her family members who taught her Ukrainian art forms. During her Masters studies she provided art classes for freshmen students at local universities in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Since 2016 Yevheniia is a South Carolina resident. She teaches art classes and gives workshops at various places in South Carolina.
The members of Gentle Jack have a long history of friendship and playing music together, with previous projects that span over 25 years. Most listeners can hear obvious influences from various genres like jazz, blues, bluegrass and of course rock and roll. Led by husband and wife, Barton and Julia Beckham, Gentle Jack loves supporting local businesses and events like First Thursday on Main.
The Columbia Music Festival Association along with The Pastor’s Study special event venue presents artworks by visual artist Joshua Knight. The artist often masterfully utilizes a variety of media including oil, watercolor, and charcoal to create beautifully crafted images featuring contemporary rustic or Native American culture within delightfully stylized settings. This will be the first time this regionally celebrated artist will be exhibiting in The Pastor’s Study. This partnership initiative will bring arts programming to the 1600 block of Main Street, further expanding the First Thursday on Main event.
