He is a retired art teacher who presently owns the Red Bowtie Group.

This month, First Thursday is pleased to announce a full lineup to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the art of the spoken word during National Poetry Month! You really don't want to miss this night to remember, featuring: Poetry performances and community poetry writing activity facilitated by Columbia's newly appointed Poet Laureate Jennifer Bartell Boykin, accompanied by local poets Loli Molina Munoz, and Evelyn Berry; rap artist and singer/songwriter Milah; and local R&B band Crown.

CMFA and The Pastor's Study Present: Rebecca Horne at The Pastor's Study

The Columbia Music Festival Association along with The Pastor’s Study special event venue will be presenting artworks by international award-winning artist, Rebecca Horne. The works shown are described by the artist as “art that intrigues the viewer” that also use “unpredictable objects as texture” to construct “something beautiful from a controlled chaos.” This will be the first time this locally respected artist from the Columbia area will be exhibiting in conjunction with First Thursday on Main and the first exhibition of 2D works in The Pastor’s Study in the very heart of Downtown Columbia. While viewing the art, open-house refreshments will be available for purchase at Lula Drake Wine.
