Pelliclaude –  Stop by Pelliclaude for their Closing Art Market. Help celebrate the past three years they’ve spent in the Arcade Building by coming out and supporting local arts! The boutique is open late. Enjoy closing discounts and light hors-d’oeuvres. (Sale goes through December 21st).  The local art market is in the main hall.  Performances by Carolina Woods & Winds and other local artists.

Columbia Museum of Art –  Come experience an evening filled with art! Sip and Scribble with FAAAC, take a guided tour of the CMA collection at 6 pm, have a laugh with The Mothers of Trustus at 6:30, and at 7:00 enjoy a dance performance on Boyd Plaza based on pieces in the CMA Collection as part of the Move Around Series. Due to the popularity of Van Gogh and His Inspirations, there may be a wait to enter. Free admission all day courtesy of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina.

Columbia Art Center (1227 Taylor Street) –  From America to Africa to Asia, people celebrate holidays with special rituals and festivities. Take a quick tour of some of the holidays around the world with the Columbia Art Center. Get a henna tattoo, spin the dreidel, enjoy tasty cookies from around the world, and more! This program is free and family friendly!

Hotel Trundle – The Mark Rapp Group featuring Joseph Cafaro, Chris Church, Mark Rapp, and Kyle Bryant will be swinging and having a great time from 6 -9 pm. Enjoy live jazz  and a cash bar of local beers and wine in the lobby.

Mast General Store –  Enjoy live music at Mast! Tarsha Galloway and Sharon Von Fange combine for a one-two punch musical kick off to the holiday season.
The music starts at 6 p.m. and continues until 7:30 p.m. Bring your friends and neighbors, make plans for supper, and check out the cool gift ideas for Secret Santa as you bid an early welcome to the weekend.

Main Course – Dueling Pianos is back at 1626 on Main for First Thursday! The Rock and Roll Piano Show is a mobile, high-energy, singalong show, with lots of audience interaction. This event is free to the public! Featuring artist Greg Cloninger. 8 -11 pm.

Good Life Café –  Enjoy live music and amazing food!

Lula Drake – Featuring live gypsy swing music with Les Flat Out Strangers.

Tapp’s Arts Center – It’s the final First Thursday for Tapp’s.  Stop by this evening and say good bye.  Enjoy the music and pick up some art! They want to find all of the abandoned art homes for the holidays.  The event starts at 6 pm.  Beer and wine will be for sale, and there will be art set out in the hallways.

The Joint –  It’s Salsa night! Salsa dance lessons start at 7:30 pm and the Salsa party begins at 8:30. Lessons are complimentary, and are offered by a classically trained professional instructor. Music to be provided by the hottest local Latin DJs and guest bands. Food and drink specials available all night! 7:30 pm – 2:00 am.

The Main Street Arts – Join The Main Street Arts at their First Thursday Pop-Up Shop. Get a sneak peak at the Artists and Creatives that are making this historic building their Studio home. Encourage the Arts for the holidays as this Pop-Up will have plenty of hand made, original creations in perfect time for gift giving. Their First Thursday debut will have plenty of refreshments and a swinging good time.
