Columbia Museum of Art – Come experience an evening filled with art! Enjoy an artists’ reception for Indie Grits Labs Lower Richland StoryLab: Places of Freedom at 6:00, take a guided tour of featured exhibitions at 6:00, have a laugh with improv group The Mothers of Trustus Theatre at 6:30, and join Columbia Design League founders Adrienne Montare and Tom Savory at 7:00 for a lecture on inflatable art and architecture. On Boyd Plaza, enjoy a pop-up beer and wine garden from The Whig with live music benefitting the Jam Room Music Festival, and stay for an 8:00 outdoor screening of Miss Hokusai.

Museum Shop – Enjoy 20% off of every item in the shop all day! Register to have a chance at winning a $50 gift certificate.  Entries will be taken from 5-8pm. The winner will be notified the next day via email.

1626 on Main – Enjoy Dueling Pianos! The Rock And Roll Piano Show is a mobile, high-energy, singalong show, with lots of audience interaction. This event is free to the public! 8 -11 pm.

Gallery at City Hall –  If you haven’t checked it out already, you should! Expressions of Creativity is now on view through September. See the latest exhibition at the City Hall Gallery located on 1737 Main Street. Admission is FREE.  Reception with the artists is from 6 – 8 pm.












First Thursday on Main in July

Looks like many of our normal participants are taking time to be with family and friends and celebrate America! Come down to the Main Street District – Columbia, SC for drinks, dinner, and fun if you’re around!  Happy 4th to all of our FTOM friends!

Grapes & Gallery –  Complete your Independence Day celebration with Grapes & Gallery this Fourth of July! Thursday evening they will open their July Art Show for FTOM.

Their featured artists, Elizabeth McCaw and Gasper Bell are both Converse College students. McCaw is a senior Studio Art major earning a focus in Digital Media, Drawing, and Ceramics. Bell majors in Graphic Design, Photography, Printmaking, and Ceramics.
